D-DAY ACADEMY SAMPLE ITINERARY

Although most trips can be somewhat customized to experience the vast amount of history in Normandy, a typical program includes visits to major sites, landing beaches and museums. You'll meet local families and students while learning about leadership, heroism and teamwork. The program includes a curriculum with literary and media references and relatable stories from D-Day.  The program also includes lodging at the Maison de Frank DeVita in iconic Sainte Mere Eglise - the site of the first paratrooper landings on D-Day.

DAY ONE

Arrive in France, coach picks up at CDG for transport to Normandy

 
DAY TWO

Tour Western American Sector: Utah Beach

Museum, explore Sainte-Mère-Église, visit the Airborne Museum and/or the D-Day Experience.

 
DAY THREE

Tour Eastern American Sector: Omaha Beach,

American Cemetery Coleville-sur-mer, Pointe Du Hoc,

German Cemetery at La Cambe

 
DAY FOUR

Paratrooper Day: La Fiere, Chef du Pont, Brecourt Manor,

Dick Winters Memorial, St. Marie du Mont,

Church at Angloville, Carentan,

Night-time Hedgerow exercise

 
DAY FIVE

Journey to the 1000-year-old Abbey at Mont-St. Michel or the seaside fortress town of St. Malo, dependent on weather, etc. Celebrate at program BBQ and pack for Paris, and home.

 
DAY SIX and SEVEN

Leave for two nights in Paris, exploring historic and cultural sites with your chaperones
